Focus on High School Students

The DI Program is open to students K-University. Although there are many students that do start in elementary school, we also have many other participants and schools who are new at higher levels.

You should know that in addition to what you'll learn and enjoy through the regular DI program, there are other participation benefits specifically geared to High School students.

If you are new to DI or simply need to know what extra benefits you gained from DI could be included on your college applications, read on:

  • Did you know that Destination ImagiNation is a NASSP-approved student contest and activity?

  • If you need community service hours, DI is a great way to earn them- either as a volunteer at training and information activities, or working at the tournaments- we can use your help! Or your team can participate in project OUTREACH this year?

  • And what about Scholarship opportunities for DI team members and volunteers? We've got them! 

    • llinois DI offers college scholarships. Check our home page for details on when the annual application iwill be available. Last year's (for an idea of criteria,etc) can be found here  The Destination Imagination Support Committee (DISC) also offers over $10,000 in Scholarships each year. They are open to graduating high school students but also to DI participants through post education (including graduate studies). The online application isd usually released at the first of the year.
